You Can Decide To Stay Focused

Being focus is so important nowadays. We have all kinds of distractions around us. Information overload, millions of blogs to check, a load of books, faster means of getting information from other people through IM and chats, among everything else. I would attest to this difficulty of being focus. While I am working on a goal, I could easily get distracted and start on another goal or desire specially if I have very less commitment and reminders about the current goal. It is really difficult. One day, you are telling yourself that you want to save more, but after a few days, you find yourself indulging in shopping to ease your stress. That's because your focus has shifted from saving money to easing your stress, which is really difficult because of the demands of work, family life, social life among other things.
That is also the reason why, there are a lot of blogs started every day, thousands perhaps, but most of them are left out and forgotten after just a few days of seeing no immediate results. Most are being forgotten after starting on with another one, then another one, then another one. A lot has confessed that managing multiple blogs is just crazy, specially if you have a full time job plus a family to take care of.
Truly, the times have become so tough and people everywhere, are nowhere to be found, because everyone is just so BUSY.
It is very difficult to stay to one goal, specially if it takes time to achieve. The following days, another goal could come up, that you cannot delay, or you thought so. The tendency, you juggle between a lot of desires and plans, and so, you forget what it is all about that you really want.
You end up being stressed, and disoriented. Staying focus is not only a necessity nowadays. It's an asset.
Yes, we have a lot of things that we could ever want in this materialistic and highly pressured life. A lot of things can divert our attention, every now and then.
But guess what? We have a choice. We can decide to stay focused and eliminate distractions in our life. Easy to say, yet hard to do. But, I don't think its impossible. That is what I realized now, because that is exactly what I feel right now. But from now, I decide to take control of my life.
From now on, I will try my best to stay focus on the essentials. On the things that really give me happiness and contribute to the goodness of my life and those around me. I don't have to be the best in every thing.
I only have to find few things that I am good at, and excel in those areas as much as I can. Does it make sense?
